Interesting wine... screw top! Lots of alcohol on the nose with black fruits and graphite. Initial palate is intriguing with lots of fresh red raspberries, pink grapefruit rind, eucalyptus, iron, supple leather, and fine dusty tannins. Long in the mouth, mostly with raspberry. Still enough acidity to last a few more years of cellaring. I wish i had another bottle or two.

My tasting is closer to that of Psdycp's review than that of other recent ones. Is this a case of two batches/bottlings (which happens) or two ways of interpreting the same material? On day 2 the wine has better balance but I still find it a little charmless and lacking in vivacity. It is this latter point - acid - that makes me wonder if age, despite its colour has already started to weary it. This comes down to what style of wine you like. The positives are complexity, power and length. Definitely a wine for strong food and strong arguments. At least it has a personality - but then so does Trump and I don't like him either.

It good. Round and ready to drink. Lots of fruit eight years on. Classic blue fruits and some red fruit. Not a lot of acidity so doubt it has a lot longer to go at this freshness. Secondary flavors haven’t emerged.

Quite fruity and a bit sweet/extracted with plenty of acid still. Would have guessed a zin/blend not cab.
