Dark purple almost black, opaque in appearance. Still primary fruit - blackberry and blueberry on the nose. The mix of fruit comes through, not perfectly defined, but a good blend on the palate. Viscous, and full bodied, very good with steak tonight. Have one more bottle, not exactly sure when to pull the cork -

Immediately showing very inviting tertiary aromas of coffee, truffle and leather. On the palate, it displays a nice concentration of black plums and sweet spices. Good acidity and a dark chocolate after taste. Delicious!

Opened two hours prior to dinner and poured through a vintorio. Dark red fruit on the nose. The palate was cherry, plums, sandalwood, chocolate, tobacco and a hint of baking spice. The finish was moderate to long.

Agree with others. Tannin is still there, so a few years left. Couldn’t compete with a regular 2010 out of the bottle, but started to win after 3hrs decant and even better after 6hrs.

Bought a couple of these, really not knowing what to expect. Have had them now for about four years, and I think that this is probably just about the right time to drink these. Very full bodied, viscous mouthfeel. Inky black tar and dark black roasted fruits hit the mouth. Roasted pie with candied nuts, overripe dates. Finishes with black tar, black fruit, pepper and baking spice. Some tannin is already starting to fall out of this one, so I'm not so sure about the 2041 date. I think the best dates for this wine are 2016-2030 with proper cellaring.
