Blackberry, plum nose and tasting. Beautiful tannin, not very acidic. Full body, long finish. I had opened and decanted the wine two hours before serving it. Delicious with the lamb infused with middle eastern infused spice.

Inky purple with a aromatic melange of black, blue and purple fruit, violets, lavender, mocha, dried eucalyptus leaf and a whiff of mint aromas. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fresh, layered, and impeccably balanced with velvety tannins, and a supple texture. It shows blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, black licorice, black pepper, anise, cacao flavors with and a long finish. Fruit for this wine is sourced from the oldest block on their estate. Planted in 1929, this 5-acre block is a field blend of predominately Petite Sirah, with Carignane, Mourvedre, Grenache, Peloursin, Syrah and even Muscat and Sauvignon Blanc among many others. The grapes were co-fermented and aged in American Oak (30% new) for 14 months. 14.5% abv|SRP 150|500 cases produced.
