  • Wow, this is a stunner. first encounter with this producer and got hooked from the beginning. brought by a "piedmont-specialist" who has been drinking nebbiolo for more than 20 years. and as it seems, he knows whats good, haha.

decanted for 3.5 hours, served single blind.
pure and naked red fruits such as rasberries and strawberries, herbs, violets, roses and some balsamic, iodine aromas (which I find quite often in traditional barolos). this was so brutally honest without any wood or other artificial bullshit. so nice and charming. every sniff was different without losing its DNA.

on the palate feminine, elegant and reduced to the essentials. fresh with high acidity. this is sooo endless deep. the few aromas are cristal clear and hold forever. honest, pure and rustical. this is what I call super-high quality winemaking. no make-up, just terroir and the grape perfectly blended together, which is, in my opinion, much harder to achieve than just putting the wine into a new barrique with maximum toasting. a natural beauty.
tannins present but ripe and well integrated. immense storage capacity. hold or decant for a long time. this will deliver even more when getting to its peak. again: wow.

  • Red fruit, very young and rather closed in the beginning. After two hours it starts to open. Very promising. Wait a few more years or decant for a few hours. 94+

  • UN GIOVEDI IN LANGA: Tasting at the domaine.

  • 150908 BBR. Sweet fruit nose of raspberry and strawberry- Great balance and less tannic than the Asili. 93-94p
