  Drank from a magnum at a birthday dinner, and must have been pretty good as 4 people finished it off.
  Certainly not vegetal. We have found that the 2011's from Napa Valley started to hit their stride after 10 years, or, in this case, 12 years.
  I do agree with an other review that suggests that there is no particular benefit to further aging.

  Always a favorite. Medium garnet in color. Plenty of red fruit on the palate with a hint of earthiness and eucalyptus. Happily, this is missing the herbal, vegetal notes that pervade the 2011's. full bodied with diminishing tannins. I think its time to drink in the next year or so unless you have a thing for older, softer wines.

  A bit vegetal but not as bad as the bosche from the same year. Quite drinkable now and not sure it will improve much. Moderate tannins, some red fruit and hints of olive on the finish.
