I have drunk a bottle each year of this Australian Chardonnay from Margaret River in one of the places most cooled by ocean breezes. Never has it failed to impress. At 4 years old, the color is more yellow versus being water clear. Very aromatic flowers and citrus fruit. The taste in the mouth includes lively acidity, lemon and lime, and palette scrubbing texture. The 4th day tasted added a softer and lush texture that is also mouth coating. The top wine on the table with fish.

This wine wowed a table full of people as perfect with shrimp and salmon, and who would never have guessed that Australia could make such a great ringer for a White Burgundy. Vivid acidity, very lively, delicious citric fruit, with impressive concentration and texture. Three years old and only getting better with additional age.

Reductive and elegant, this needs time to open up. Whiffs of nectarine and orange blossom give way to waxy apple skin and some nice subtle oak. Really lifted in the mid-palate, it has a crystalline texture on the finish with just a hint of New World tropical fruit lingering in your mouth.

Not as good as 2years ago. Should have drunk it earlier. Still nice taste, but getting a bit sharp.
