I can't add to the already great tasting notes here. But, I will say if you can find this under $40 it is a steal. Drinking great now with some time and or decanting.

Must decant for at least an hour. Opensup nicely with plum and tobacco. Tannins soften after aerating. Classic light red color. Very nice balanced finish.

At Pistici NYC with Mike, Charlotte and Theo off the wine list ($64). On the nose and palate, red cherries, red and black currants and raspberries, maybe a touch of strawberry, leather, tomato leaf, smoke, cedar, mixed spice bouquet, and earthy minerality. Medium garnet, light to medium bodied. Medium+ acidity and tannins, no heat. VG persistence, intensity and complexity. More on the traditional, perhaps feminine, side, secondary notes led off the pour, and while the fruit filled out during the 90 minutes we consumed it, I’m not sure if this is destined to be more reserved or if it will open further with time. It’s a solid drink now, all the more so with some air, and more with food, miscellaneous Italian antipasti and mains, than without. It’s not Fuligni, CdN or Uccliiera, but at a price on the carte barely above that on WS, it didn’t have to be. BdMs rarely let me down; this one didn’t. Upside possible. 91-92+
