  • Medium ruby color. Nose is clearly an old school red blend, showing normal extraction of Cab and a slightly "sweet" nose of bramble and jam. The oak is also quite obvious on nose, overriding dill sense, not well integrated, might need more time. Taste has plenty of acid but a bit hot and astringent, grippy still. Needs more time. A good blend, but not as cool in profile as modern Cab blends. Very analogous to Alto Adige / Veneto Cabernet, Applegate Valley Bordeaux blends, and even some Paso Robles blends. Just lacks polish and secondary character in nose and finish.

  • Really well made blend that punches way above it's weight making it a QPR pick for me. Needed about 30 minutes in the glass to fully open, but when it did - wow! Really nice balanced wine with a hint of heat. Fruit was hidden on the back end - I guess this would be a great example of an Israeli veriosn of an Old World table wine. A bit austere but ended up being very food friendly when fully opened. One of my favorite vintages of this wine.

  • toasty dark fruit on the nose
Supple and savoury, really old world in style
Lick of vanilla on the end
Serious stuff, tastes very Italian (he producer is from Tuscany) very much a food wine

  • Well made blend. Red fruit, earth, grilled meat and herbs. Nice nose, medium body, decent fruit but a little austere and foursquare in the mid palate. Moderate finish.

  • Medium to full body, deep ruby red. Intensive aromatic, ripe black fruits, dominant dried plums, spicy and floral aroma. Black cherry, plums and herbal on the palate, long spicy finish. Powerful, silky texture, complex and well balanced, nice acidity, moderate tannins. Food friendly, best match is grilled meat but well associates with stuffed cabbage rolls. Serve 18º - 24º. Open about two hours in advance. Young but fresh and nice. Drink now and next four years.
