Again vis-a-vis Les Bessards, now in the midst of winter rather than lovely summer in Kandestederne. We agreed to prefer this, very elegant with great depth, vraiment syrah with plenty of olives, hanged meat, roasted notes but a great freshness as well. #JR&Co

From single format this is much weaker. While not in decline, it is certainly a very light, elegant version of Hermitage; olives here, smoke, bacon, plenty of secondary. Tasted vis-a-vis Delas Les Besards and was outperformed. #Ib&Co#Kandestederne

Tasted vis-avis L'Ermite, this is the weaker wine, while still extraordinary and very classical. Tar, black olives, bacon, sound fruit, more robust then L'Ermite. #Chapoutierparty#Tain

On the edge of oxidized, still good fruit (fig and plum) and secondary notes of olive and bay leaf.

Absolutely delicious! Very terroir driven with good supporting fruit and fine grit tannins.
