Quite brown now. A tiny bit oxidised. Lacking freshness. No great depth or any zing. Sherryish. Hints of generic Mediterranean Muscats. Bit dull. As others note this suffers from a lack of acid. A poor showing: a few sips and we didn’t want to drink more, and the bottle recorked and put in the fridge for I don’t know what....
Sampled from the stored bottle from the fridge a while later, this is now quite a bit better surprisingly. being more energetic and focussed. Tastes fresher and better balanced. The feeling of oxidation has gone. Some acids have stirred up to freshen it, and the overdone muscatty notes have gone to be replaced by a quite graceful light lemon-marmalade.
Further notes: still not essentially drinkable in any quantity, used over the months tactfully in cooking where a hint of sweeteness is needed - tomato dishes etc. Re-scored.

Starting to brown. A touch of oxidation on the nose that blew off. Lots of orange marmalade here as well as golden raisons and marzipan. Not at all cloying with a great streak of underlying acidity.

1990 Dinner Hosted by Cedric Nicaise at Eleven Madison Park (Eleven Madison Park): Gorgeous. Orange peel and honey. Viscous but not heavy at all. Really enjoyable.

still very good, but now declining, especially from a less than ideal cellar. drink up. acidity is gone.
