Almost amber in color; neither golden nor brown, but beautiful in every way. Apricot, honeysuckle, and creme brulée on the nose and palate. Excellent balance with acidity carrying along the sweetness. The finish is a touch nutty (hazelnut?) The fruit is lively and abundant. Does this have “loads of life left in it”? Probably not, but it doesn’t show any signs of fading just yet. “Mature” would be the word to tag it on the continuum of its trajectory. A tiny amount of sediment. 13% alc. As dessert with the Chadwicks and Davises (for our introduction to them and welcome lunch at Tastings. Highly Recommended.

Extremely complex and brilliantly balanced, with beautiful heft, this thrilling, eye-opening wine is in its drinking window and unlikely to disappoint. Assured and unapologetically individual. Those enjoying it with Keylime pie (very good but not perfect pairing) ranged from novice to experienced; and despite this being really “interesting” even challenging, it held gripping appeal across the diners.
Update 7/16/20: just thinking about this wine a year later, that's all!

Deep golden/yellow in colour. On the nose wet wool, honey, dried fruit. Rich and sweet but also incredibly fresh and vibrant. Well balanced, layered. Intense and lingering finish. Superb. 93-95
