Too easy to compare this unfavourably to bottles from more typical vintages. It's different - fatter, less backbone and seems to be developing quicker - but taken on its own merits it's a lovely drop, weighty and honeyed. Like most Huet moelleux IMO, better with your savouries and cheeseboard than it is with your pudding.

There's a really nice apple, Arizona green tea, sweet hay nose right away. Sort of in-between sweetness, not enough for dessert but too much for a lot of foods, maybe best for cheese or scallops. Palate is weighty with lanolin, quince, and finishing with a lick of salt.

Floral nose, Neccos, papaya. Exotic tropical fruit up front-coconut, pineapple. There is an interplay between sleek white cocktail wine and luscious dessert wine, and it settles somewhere between the two. It didn't hold up against sea salt brownies, so I lean more towards serving it with cheese or rich seafood.

Eh, it was fine. A little heavy and thick with not enough acid. Did the trick with Malaysian food, though.

Slightly oxidised. Some of my friends liked it, but it was flawed...
