  • I think this will improve with a bit of time, as it was initially a bit too tannic.
    But otherwise, this is quite enchanting, an expression of nebbiolo that definitely shows acid and minerality (it was screaming for food) but pure fruit.

  • Popped and poured.
    Clear, medium ruby.
    Fresh red cherry, damp earth, sweet spice, woody oak. With air, a touch of rose and blackberry.
    Medium(+) acidity, medium(+) body, medium(+) flavour intensity of red cherry, blackberry, damp earth, cedar oak, herb. Medium(+) grippy tannins, medium finish.
    Fruit concentration was better than expected. Could age another couple of years; this did improve with a bit of air. Decent showing.

  • Dry wood, manure, dried herbs, dry earth, ceder wood, a bit of flowery perfume and some dried sour fruit (cherries). Very dry, medium+ acidity, some rather grippy medium+ tannins, medium bodied and a good medium+ intensity and length. A lovely wine with a clear provenance. Good QPR at about 25€.

  • Clear, pale intensity, garnet color.

    Youthful nose with medium intensity. Dark cherry, cranberry, minty herbs, blueberry bush, stable, rose petals, lavender, moist earth and pine tree. The varietal character coming through clearly but in a more darker and fruity way than it's siblings from the Langhe hills.

    Medium(+) bodied with firm, medium(+) tannins and medium(+) acidity. Medium(+) intensity with flavors of tart red berries, dark cherry, rose petal, cedar wood, moist earth and menthol. Medium(+) finish.

    Firmly structured but still has a kind of silky mouthfeel. A bit too young today but it's drinking ok. Would love to have this with some age to it.

  • Ljusare röd färg

    Kryddigt initialt. Sen framträder en del viol, en hel del stalliga toner, kaffe

    Torrt och stramt, bra med tanniner, helt okej längd.

    Först i munnen blir det tydligt att det rör sig om en barolo. Väldigt torrt och stramt. Trodde på en äldre flaska då jag uppfattade mognadstoner i vinet.
