Not as big of a wine as I would’ve initially thought. Lots of personality but in a fun and lively package that is not austere at all. Bold plummy 1st dimension, with a hearthier depth involving chocolate, cinammon, cloves, cured meat, and that classic Syrah pepper kick. Surprisingly vibrant acidity for South Rhone. Very easy to get through and a very pleasing wine overall. Maybe a bit expensive at 50$ CAD, but decent value.

More sediment than I remember from my last bottle almost a year ago. Much more serious and structured with a slight hintv of funk. I wonder if this is more due to bottle variation than development. Maybe this bottle got more of the dregs of the barrel? Pretty promising stuff

Awesome wine for $30. A beam of raspberry cutting through slightly smoky gravel, lilacs, and black pepper. With air, the raspberry note deepens to bluer fruit (boysenberry?).

Needs time. Nervous that a big dollop of wood is overpowering the fruit at this moment. Highly drinkable. Suave big tannin. Would prefer a little more fruit. 92. For my palette maybe 91-92.

Dark Crimson Purple, no sign of age, no sediment. Black fruits & savoury. Med+ acidity. Good.
