Bought today at Expo Vino in Lima, Peru. Popped and poured. A rather dark red with a nice aged look to it. The nose is quite fruity, with lots of smooth red fruit and some smokiness coming through. Some tertiary smells as well. With airtime, the smokiness becomes more meaty. On the palate, there lots of tannins, lots of fruity tastes, and a bit of a tertiary component to it. Quite a nice wine, but perhaps not worth the about 25 euros I paid for it. Going well with an assortment of Peruvian tapas. 50+5+10+15+7=87

This rocked for under $20. Black olive tapenade on the nose. The palate was like a gourmet salad with fresh spring greens, tapenade and some dried cranberries. This went incredibly well with pasta. Just enough acidity to do battle with the red sauce. I'm going to grab several more bottles to have on hand for those nights when you're feeling lazy and quickly cook up some pasta. Adding this wine turns it into an instant "nice dinner".

1 hour decanting, nose light - soft fruits - cherry, black currant, milk note but taste much better, soft tannins and acid

Lousy stuff. No interest or intensity. Tastes like a $3 bottle.
