  • Second bottle of a box of six. Consistent with the first bottle. Popped and poured. Good red fruit, ripe strawberry, cherry, dill, coffee, some tobacco, light earth, spices, light vanilla, some clove, and balsamic notes, with lively acidity and very good persistence. Nice old age sweetness. The tannin is fully resolved, and the medium-bodied wine is smoothly textured and very well balanced. Very enjoyable.

  • Popped and poured, consumed over a period of two days. Medium garnet colour. Red and dark fruit, cherry, dill, coffee, light tobacco, spices, mint, and light medicinal notes, with medium-level acidity, fully resolved tannin, and very good length. Medium-bodied, smoothly textured, balanced, and very long, and quite elegant. Still enjoyable on day two, more balsamic, with dill and lovage, and notable old age sweetness. I think I liked it better on day one, but only by a small margin. Drink now. Good value.
