Second bottle of the evening. Didn’t decant this one, but it did open up in the glass after a while. Very consistent with the first bottle, but should have decanted this one as well.

Decanted for 2 hours. Had with a group and it was the favorite. Lovely blend. Great age on it and could go a few more years in the cellar, but not necessary if you can decant. 9 years old and ready to impress. This is something to have in your cellar

Dense purplish ruby color. Aromas of black and blue fruits, graphite, soil, leather, and some green, vegetal like dirty root veggie notes. Medium body, high acid, long finish, and flavors of cassis, tart blueberry, lemon, minerals, fennel, clove, and some lingering spice. Agree with the previous reference to this being modern Bdx like. Worked unsurprisingly well with steaks tonight. 90-91 pts.🤙

Classic Washington, even borderlng Bordeaux nose (think Margaux in modern style). Clearly new world with Cassis and blackberry. good amount of spice and fruit on the palate. Strong and chewy tannins. A vanilla cola element as it transitions to the finish. The flavor of the finish is short, but tannins are puckering. Should last longer.

Impressive cab. Everything fell into place. Tannins were manageable. A medium finish.
