Sometimes you forget about Alsace and the quality it can bring to you. I am definitly in a period right now where I want the wines to have a big body and creamy feel, yet still keep some freshness. Josmeyer is bringing it. 7,5 gr acidity/ 4gr sigar and 13,5 % alkohol. Late harvested lemons, honey, fruit garden (no hubba-bubba) and this burnt out fire is my first thoughts on the nose. Mouth wise the concentration is high on this one. Some youghurt nut and salinity presents itself, everything has come together in this wine. You notice the warmth of the alcohol but no more as a welcoming warmth. Drank from universal Zalto. No really need for ice bucket, maybe decanter. The drinking joy was at its best with fancy pizza with scallops, truffel and sabayonne

Touch of spice/VA on the nose. Maybe some hessein too. Complex, although a bit dirty. Tight, linear palate. Mineral hints. A little lean? Lovely length and a salivating finish, but just doesn’t seem to come together. Kind of a wine of two halves.

Fresh stone fruit, slight tropical and giving off a really great aged vibe. Great acidity and beautiful minerality.

Really good, well balanced Reisling. Plenty of life ahead of it.
