Tasted blind, clearly, on bouquet, Riesling with some age, showing some turpentine development to its grapefruit, lime and crushed rock aromas. On palate, fairly primary for its age, I guessed much younger than 2004. Quite ripe, viscous with ripping acids. Good concentration, persistence and weight, quite serious, long and finishes very dry. A food wine with its acids, dryness and minerals, accompanied a terakihi fish entrée beautifully. Great now but with this dry extract no hurry to drink. 93.

Invitingly golden, with intense aromas (fresh lime juice, kerosene, marble dust), slippery and silky texture balancing the very high acidity. Amazing wine, still lively and fresh, long and deep, with a long way to go.

Deep lemon yellow colour with slight golden tint. It has an intensive and slightly developed nose. Broad. Ripe, sweet fruit (think tangerine) and somehow waxy notes. The palate is mid-weight with crunchy acidity. Dry. It's very linear and profound and long. Leans heavily to savoury / mineral sort of flavours as fruitiness is more or less totally absent. Quality stuff that drinks well already but should keep for a few more years. Sadly this was my last bottle.
