Love me some CT and love me some Meunier, so this is a double treat. Dosage of 3g/l; bottled in July 2012; 100% pinot meunier; 1900 bottles. Absolutely fantastic champagne, with the lovely ginger-spice notes I associate with PM, a brilliant gold color, fine mousse and rich, brioche-laden finish. Extraordinary.

A great sparkler, reaffirming why I love this house so much and rue the days when I could find these SV wines for around $60. This was a Crush progressive sale purchase for about $67 and a steal at that price. Expressive Meunier, dry but not bracing, perfectly in balance. Gold color, berry, lemon and marzipan flavors. Just delicious.

2011 base with dosage of 3 g/l, 100% PM. Don’t see a disgorge date. A very unique tasting wine. On one hand, I like the lemon curd and pie crust quality and brushing of herb (mint?), yet it also reflects a flatness to me, a rounded profile that lacks complexity. It’s showing a bit of a bruised yellow apple quality too, a little oxidized in tone. My belief is that this is ready to drink now, provided you agree with my assessment about complexity.
Tyson Stelzer (2018-2019 Champagne Guide) gives this wine only 84 points, mentioning a dry and earthy wine, which concludes coarse and short. I disagree, despite the 2011 vintage this is an exciting wine and a pleasure to drink. Nose mineral and a bit grainy, some citrus. Taste citrus with vegetal and mineral tones, good intensity, medium + length.

Despite the low dosage this is a teaser, beautiful fruit and brioche, long finish, all from PM. Again a fantastic monocépage Champagne.
