Off the wine list at Atera (I seem to be drinking down their stock of this wine). It's very similar to what it was before. Needs to warm up and have some air and the more that happens the more expressive the wine becomes. It's quite lovely and amazing the versatility. I paired it with almost all of the courses (even the wagyu) and it held up nicely.

This is very easy to drink, and very easy to like in a youthful, full of its primary fruit way. Trending more to the peach and plum side of the spectrum than the classic apples and lemons, the Meunier makes it’s presence known, while also maintaining a firm backbone. Beyond the primary fruit this also has significant mid-palate weight, which suggests several more years in the cellar would be interesting and beneficial. I sure hope that’s true, as I am certain I bought two of these, and I can’t find the other bottle!

Disgorged 06/18. Wow, this wine is a total powerhouse: An entire apple orchard explodes out of the bottle. Things settle down a bit and the apples merge with a variety of other flavors. Incredibly rich body with some oak here and there. Everything continues evolving too, it's hard to keep track of what's happening. I recommend this wine with some fine caviar. The pairing we had (it was our anniversary, okay!) was tremendous. The wine brought out a depth of flavor from the caviar that I hadn't noticed before. Outstanding.

Last of two. Disgorged June 2018, 100% Pinot Meunier. Opened yesterday, finished today. Lovely bottle here. There is a tropical note in this bottle, of pineapples and also of tangerine, with a texture that is on the richer side but supported by acidity that keeps the wine bright. I could be fooled into this being Chardonnay. Finishes with lime and a bit prickly, which I dig.

Medium Gold Apples, honey and lemon on the nose Green apple, brioche, baking spice on the palate which was quite grippy and bubbles were fine Definitely an "off-ice" wine Despite the medium gold color already, this should do even better with some more age 6-18 disg #13
