Popped and poured. Strong dark yellow. A lot of mineral and limestone in the nose. The palate has really developed nicely. Full of minerals, and still with a decent acid backbone. I have not had a great deal of experience with aged Sancerre, but this gives me confidence that they can age quite well in the hands of a good producer. I’m not sure I prefer the aged version to the younger profile, but it’s nice to know there’s no hurry to drink these. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.

Tightly wound at first with a bitter ungiving character, this opened up beautifully over about 45 minutes. Blue fruits in spades, this was more tropical fruit, lemongrass, and melon with a plush rich palate well-balanced by punchy acidity and an exuberant finish. Tasted about 2 hours later, a rich ripe altahualfa (yellow) mango character developed and dominated.. it was really delicious. Such a great bottle today, has to be approaching peak in the next few years.

Nose incisive acid and mineral. Tropical notes apricot petrol and floral with subtle chives and herbal note. Palate big and intense with incredible mineral extract and strong acid. A nearly never ending finish. Apricot dominates the fruit here with some key lime. This is incredible Sancerre.

This wine is firing on all cylinders!! At close to 18 hours open this is light golden yellow in the glass, with scents of tropical fruit, chalk, & crushed granite. On the palate it’s medium bodied, w/ high acidity, and a lush medium-long finish.

Floral richness on the palate. Very little on the nose, not as expansive as I had expected. Tart lemony finish with lingering acidity.
