The typicity is unmistakable here. It opens reductive and flinty before slowly drifting to notes of apples, lemons, and a touch of marzipan. Shows good balance, a buttery mouthfeel, and a kiss of baking spices that infuses the toasty finish. Good value too.

Bought a half bottle at a local restaurant for 22/hb. Best "all countries" retail I could find at Wine-searcher was 14+/hb (21+ for a full 750 ml) so this was good value for a restaurant purchase--and a tasty wine. Excellent color, fragrant with bit of citrus and oak, semi-crisp with very good mouthfeel, satisfying. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I consider this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

375 ml consumed by Marianne. Well balanced and good acidity to balance the oak. Nice mix of stone fruit and some tropical fruit flavors... I detect some pineapple on the mid palate.

No rush on this one, maturing nicely. Nice body, well balanced, oak not overpowering. Most enjoyable, crisp with good tree fruit flavors.
