NOSE: warm, ripe red currants.
TASTE: warm red fruits --- strawberry and red currants; medium+ to high acidity; medium-light oak note. Overall, quite pleasant, but lacking the tension or drive that would make me think this has another gear. Currently in a "relaxed primary" state; Drink or Hold.

Not scoring because this followed a Walter Hansel Alyce 2015 Pinot on Thanksgiving Day. Given that the Alyce was one of the best Hansel Pinots I've ever had this WO was at a disadvantage. The WO was a brickish color, more old school, than the bright purple of the Alyce. All said, we still enjoyed the WO for its' spicey character and the way it complemented the meal. Aeration might have helped as it came off a tad warm.

Garnet color, tart berries, some cinamon or nutmeg kind of thing, strawberries. Bright acid attack, long lingering finish, nice on the lips.
