  • I had a couple bottles in the cellar and I really loved it a couple years ago. Held on to one until this summer (2020). Definitely past its peak. Diesel notes and lots of bitterness. Sadness.

  • Originally tasted at winery in 5/2017 was a 92 at that time.
This reminds me that Viognier should be drunk young.
Nose - The aromatic perfume character of the wine has dissipated, still there but very subtle.
Palate - The previous big fruit has begun to fade away, showed up a bit after the wine began to warm up in glass. Conclusion I waited too long to drink.

  • Condreiu in style. Sadly this wine is off balance with acid and alcohol winning. Very subtle non descript citrus fruit. 2nd bottle tasted within the last 3 months with the same results. A reminder that Viognier needs to be consumed young. Glass cork.

  • Light, pale straw color; hot nose with peach and straw; similar flavor profile with light to med. acidity levels. I believe this to be varietally correct but I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm not a fan of White Rhone varietals.

Tasted at Bubbles bar at O'hare airport. For a small joint in an airport, they have quite the impressive wine list. Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc by the glass? That's what I'll get next time I'm there.

  • Tasted at the winery. This wine is a mellow light to medium yellow. The nose is very floral and fruity. On the palate it is creamy and delicious with stone fruit, honey and mandarin orange on the finish. I thought this was a quite delicious and nice white wine alternative especially with food. To be fair I generally am a big fan of well made viognier.
