Yellow gold. Quite a subdued nose, with faint hints of olive oil, wet stone, almonds and cashews. Fruit is almost all gone now. Flabby on the palate, quite tired and mature. Almost all secondary characteristics now, with white mushroom, cashews and hazelnuts and stale milk curd. Would have been better 5 years ago.

11 Montrachet Grand Crus and 4 Montrachet GC Neighbors (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Rich and spicy aromas with a heavy lemon pepper note and some oak spice, which is a little funky. Rich and chunky palate texture with a round, oaky profile and a little lean in flavor. Heavy oak spice on the tart finish, but there's some creaminess lingering that's nice. Really rich and soft, with tart notes of oak. Leaves the palate puckering.

Light yellow in color, nose of orchard fruit and slight honey. Medium palate with attack and balance, finish seems to be a bit volatile, range from lots of stone fruit to faint minerality, changes from time to time, maybe more cellaring will help? But the fruit is saying it is at a great place to drink now.

Nice BM But drink now. Classic notes of nuts, honey, Baking powder, apple. Not necessarily superior to a CC.
