HDH Burgundy Auction; 4/13/2018-4/14/2018 (Chicago, IL): Probably a little past its prime, but this is still surprisingly alive. It's not great but it's fairly interesting. Earthy, with some fruit left. But the palate is mostly faded at this point. Short. Drink up.

A Few Meals in Burgundy; 6/30/2013-7/5/2013: Served blind with dinner. Clearly quite old from a mediocre vintage, I thought this was from the 70s, in fact thinking perhaps 1977. Lean style, seemingly underripe, slightly meaty. Better when first poured vs 30 minutes later. Faint fruit hints, lots of good earthy and mushroom elements.
