32gr of residual sugar. Tropical fruit, hints of honey, herbs, flowers on the nose. Lovely weight, rich, generous, spicy, impeccably well balanced. Super long and lingering. Delicious now, but with a great future. 94-95+

2015 Zind Humbrecht? Current gold indeed (Domaine Zind Humbrecht): Rich and quite concentrated, with over 32 grams of residual sugar which I felt, 13.1 alcohol. I almost prefer the Pinot Gris Roche Volcanique because it comes across drier and more supple. But this wine needs time in bottle and I am sure it will be fantastic down the road. Especially for lovers of Alsace Pinot Noir.

Fabulous.
Huge PG, this would’ve been graded a VT at any other site. Rich, and sweet (32g/L) but fabulous balance. Worth a visit or a major detour.

Light lemon
Still a little closed on the nose
Leads with minerality (chalk?)
Lime/lemon
A little warm?
Off-dry
Mid+ alcohol
Mid body
Mid+ acid
Mid finish
On palate: ripe peach, tropical fruit
Alcohol seems a little high, otherwise balances
Too early? Or is it always like this?
