Bullseye… Perfect harmony and good quality vs. price ratio. I wonder where you can get this amount of quality for the price of 22 Euro anno 2022? If so - please show me 😎. The primary fruity notes are there, but you can’t deny the insanely delicious “Sous Bois” notes of damp and moist forrest floor and mushrooms.

A very nice, current-drinking red burgundy to enjoy without over thinking the bottle. A true step above most Bourgogne Rouge, this Liger-Belair offering brings the delightful subtle hand of the estate to a a basic but fruit driven wine. No unbalanced tannins or bouts of excessive forward fruit as with many Bourgogne Rouges from 2015. The main trait, oddly, is elegance without a lot of substance. Just as it seems like there is a definable fruit or other flavor trait, it gets lost in the inconsistent and occasionally watery melange. This is not a serious issue with a wine at this level and did not interfere with the pleasure of drinking, as long, once again, there was no effort to over think this wine. A bit overpriced in Stockholm but a great QPR in the retail market.

In 'sweet spot' at the moment. Unassuming, fun wine with a great deal of elegance. Drink up! Lovely!
