Patience was rewarded. This wine covered all the bases. Wonderful nose of red Fruit, with a floral hint. Perfect soft tannin, acidity that was spot on with food (my wife made the best roast chicken ever). This certainly over-achieved. Possibly proof that vintage is everything in burgundy.

Had all but given up on this coming round and absorbing the heavy oak, but it's made great strides. Quite big, thick, dark and warm, but juicy too. Never going to be elegant, but far less clumsy and much more enjoyable than it was. Probably best drunk now?

Dark vibrant ruby red that display soft perfumy aromas of red pinot fruits, flower and earth. Fresh, and slight restraint palate with good fruits and lively acid, fine grained tannins that is evolved quite well though the oak is still a little bit on the high side and I doubt the overall concentration will be able to fully absorb the oak. Med finish with mineral and earth undertone. Quite good. Buy - No.
