  Retail $16. 90% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha. Tasted single blind. Darker in color with little bricking. Somewhat muted on the nose with eventually some lovely fruit eking out. Again, tons of acid, but less structure and even less fruit on the palate. Not as expressive, but still nice.

  Slipped down almost without noticing with our evening meal. I take that as a complement!
  Selected as our "everyday" Rioja. Simple: ripe dark fruit core, a touch of strap but no excessive oaking. Dry finish. Good value (bonus point).
  For drinking this year.

  C.V.N.E. tasting: Pretty ruby color. Tart and bright aromas of red and black cherries, red currants, with cocoa, tobacco, raspberry leaf and cedar. Bright and zesty appeal on the palate, lively and fresh with dusty tannins and flavors of tart red and black cherry fruit, some plum skin. Chewing tobacco, sage, cocoa, spice rub and pine add complexity. Approachable but structured, what a solid Crianza for the price. Tempranillo with a combined 10% Garnacha, Graciana, Mazuelo.

  prune-cherry-ruby colour; clear, nice. nose: blueberries; tart and even quite robust; fresh but with some leathery notes. taste: medium bodied, medium acid, medium finish... everything medium... some light, opaque tannins. 2012 much better.
