Flat bottle shape possibly most interesting thing about it four years out from vintage. A rich wine with tired notes of apple and banana--interesting to drink but lacks anything refreshing.

In total agreement with previous tasters. This albarino exhibits all the characteristics I look for in good rias baixas, screaming acid, lively citrus, lemon zest, salinity, chalkiness...nothing out of place here. An altogether pleasant and mouthfiilling drink. Recommended.

Aside from the curious albeit intriguing story about the "Poisonous Worm of Envy" that graces the front label (is a reference to poison on a beverage label ever a good thing?), the 2013 Eladio Piñeiro Envidia Cochina is a plunge into a world of fresh herbs, saline and brine, interlaced with lemon pith and lemon zest. Prickly, taught acidity comingles with mouth-coating chalk, in this medium-bodied, lively, decidedly different Albariño.

Big tropical/pineapple fruit aromas. Palate gets really salty and crunchy. Very nice with lots of personality.

Brisket Bash Deux: 10 Vintage Vertical of Clos de Papes and more (Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a small pour. A delicious Albarino with very nice fruit, tropical, kiwi, lychee, citrus, nice stony minerality and a medium plus finish. Excellent. 90+ to 91pts.
