Very impressed this is holding up so well. Extravagant apple, baked apple, almond butter with near marzipan character. OK, it is somewhat sweeter than I'd consider optimal, but that is counterbalanced by the wine's incredible concentration, which manages to make it seem it bright enough. The biggest negative for me is its warm finish, but serving this on the colder side made that less overt.

Blind Wine Industry Guys (Eric's House, Hong Kong): Served blind. Surprisingly young and fresh whilst typically oaky aged Napa Chardonnay. Gets a bit cloying for me as it warms up. Others liked it a lot more.

Very interesting wine. Incredibly fat and lush - nobody would ever mistake this for white Burgundy. But this has engaging and powerful fruit and spice that is well integrated. Ripe apple and some peach. Bit of baking spice in background. Downside is that the ultra ripe character comes with fairly assertive alcohol.

Still hanging in there; smooth, but with a bit more of its acid backbone showing, at this late date. A lovely accompaniment to the first barbecued chicken of the summer.

Just incredible, Clean nutty nose, ripe fruit lemon cream, good finish. Great example of what this winery can do with California Chardonnay.
