Bottle, fill and cork all very good. This wine started out dark, a bit simple and muted and really blossomed into a fine aged wine after about an hour or so in the decanter. Definitely has the aged italian character. It kept getting better and better, putting on weight and complexity with tobacco, cherry, spice and a proper structure for italian food. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was.

Brick red color thinning out a bit at the rim. Beautiful nose of dried fruit, freshly baked cake, chocolate, and sweet spices. The palate is excellent, with a firm yet velvety, port-like structure, great fruit, and lovely acidity. Long finish displaying chocolate-coated cherries and spices. An outstanding effort by the creators of the modern Ripasso technique. Drink now.

Very impressive. This wine is not supposed to be able to store so good for so long time. It still retained good structure and firmness - and quite a lot of fruit. Very good value at USD50!

Some structure, nice acidity. By far the best of my Campofiorin-bottles. Has aged gracefully and still drinks well. Yet, it is not a great wine.
Has been recorked by the estate.

Although it's age it was really good with lovely tones of leather and coffee.
