Nose: raspberry, cola, hints of red date, hints of dried leaves, rice cake, Notes: the green in the 2004 is quite apparent. This wine is starting to show some age in it and I would say this won't last many more years. Opened for 2 hours and it's gone downhill quite rapidly. I can't help to think I'm again disappointed by this old Domaine. It seems that the only chance of something good from this Domaine is its Clos de la Roche. Drink: now+ Rating: 88

Ruby colored, just browning at rim. Fascinating medicinal nose also expressing tobacco, and schist. Flavors of sweet cola, root beer, moderate stem/greeness and light pipe tobacco. A tad acidic but reasonably balanced.

1307 bottles produced. Cloudy pink color. Pure red fruit, lacy lychee aromas, higher tannins and notable acidity, not unlike older Ponsot or even 04 Leroy. Slightly stemmy and greeness, very fresh, with good layers unfolding unto itself on the palate. 93-94

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Pale garnet with fine deposits.
Chestnut notes suggesting fruit ripeness. Wild berry fruits. Slightly preserved red dates. Very airy and more about depth here.
Penetrating acidity, high minerality. Good length.
94 points.
