Opened this about 6 years too late. I thought it would be undrinkable, but it turned out to be OK. I probably won't finish the bottle, but it qualifies as wine and will do for tonight. I'm not going to bother scoring it. What's point? It's table wine.

This medium bodied, violet colored beaujolais opens up with LOTS of fresh, sweet strawberries and a hint of blueberry. And, I may be repeating myself, but sniff after sniff, all the way through the glass, is sweet, sweet, sweet! The palate brings you nicely banced tannins and acidity, but it is simple. More strawberries and blueberries, a hint of baking spice after opening up, but nothing special or complex. An old world wine leaning toward a new world style.... its quaffable all by itself and should be drunk now.

13% alcohol, imported by Quintessential LLC, Napa, CA, light to medium foil, artificial cork, medium legs, dark purple; nose of yeast, fruit & alcohol, not especially inviting; vinturied and tasted immediately at ca 20 degrees C, tasting confirms the components detected in the nose, tannins in the back of the tongue, finish is dry!; all in all, subject to the limitation of its youth, the wine is smooth and dry; pair with soft & hard cheese, or drink solo
