Opened this about 6 years too late. I thought it would be undrinkable, but it turned out to be OK. I probably won't finish the bottle, but it qualifies as wine and will do for tonight. I'm not going to bother scoring it. What's point? It's table wine.

This medium bodied, violet colored beaujolais opens up with LOTS of fresh, sweet strawberries and a hint of blueberry. And, I may be repeating myself, but sniff after sniff, all the way through the glass, is sweet, sweet, sweet! The palate brings you nicely banced tannins and acidity, but it is simple. More strawberries and blueberries, a hint of baking spice after opening up, but nothing special or complex. An old world wine leaning toward a new world style.... its quaffable all by itself and should be drunk now.

13% alcohol, imported by Quintessential LLC, Napa, CA, light to medium foil, artificial cork, medium legs, dark purple; nose of yeast, fruit & alcohol, not especially inviting; vinturied and tasted immediately at ca 20 degrees C, tasting confirms the components detected in the nose, tannins in the back of the tongue, finish is dry!; all in all, subject to the limitation of its youth, the wine is smooth and dry; pair with soft & hard cheese, or drink solo

Excellent for what it’s supposed to be...at first a yeasty smell which quickly blows off and then nice red fruits, flowers and bubble gum. light bodied, energetic, pomegranate flavored juice

Super purple color with grape jelly taste to match. The back label has a sweetness chart, but i thought it was a little off. This wine has quite a bit of floral sweetness with not much else. Fun to have the "first of the season" but it only worked with food. By itself it was just too sappy.

Full of fruit, nose of strawberries, taste is fruit forward with blackberry, raspberry flavors balanced by light tannins. Light and lingering finish. Just slightly sweet and lovely to sip with some cheese and crackers-

nose: pleasant fruit; palette: medium typical nouveau fruit with a slightly oaky finish, typical nouveau, very drinkable, just what you would expect from Nouveau but still not as good as the 1985

Nice gamay bouquet, not that light of a wine, good color, good acid and fruit, a legitimate wine , no excuses needed, enjoy a few bottles and move on,it is always fun to drink a 2017 wine in 2017, will drink again, drank with whole sea bass ,

"The first wine of the hatvest" is on the label, but not in Cellartracker database.
Fresh! Almost grape/black cherry popsicle taste. Not my normal style, but enjoyed by a few of our "non wine-drinker" friends.

Delicious taste of jolly rancher strawberry; some tart cherry; I actually quite liked it. This is promising for the 2017 vintages.

Pleasant quaff, but it sure is "in your face". Exuberently fruity and lots of bananas as expected. The Chermette Origine is my benchmark '17 Bojo.

I liked 2016 very much, it was exceptional. Expectations were high this year, and I was disappointed. This year I prefer other Beaujolais Nouveau.

Very nice Gamay fruit, quite clean, with some complexity. But the 13.5% alcohol is annoyingly hot for a light wine.
