  • Fill well into neck, cork stained not even 3/4 of the way up, bottle labeled 4/5 quart. A beautiful clear ruby color, minty, lean, a bit campfire smoky. Bright cranberry, raspberry fruit, spiced ice tea, this is getting better throughout the night. Wow.

  • Pop-n-pour at cellar temp. High fill bottle, perfect cork. Initially delicate and very muted/monotone/simple dark cherry. In 30 minutes, wine had warmed a bit and with the air, the complexity blossomed with an undertone of black fruits, cigar, and tannins. The interest didn't last long and in about 20 minutes, it fell down and disappeared to its original form.

  • Over the hill and disjointed but overall enjoyable. Still quite dark in the glass, deep ruby red and transparent on the edges. Nose gives away its age. Herbs, dark red fruit and whatever-you-call-that-classic-aged-cab-smell. On the palate it's incredibly silky with no hint of tannins. A bit awkward though with dissonant flavors.
