  • Blind tasting for my guests. Nice flavours of hay, cutted grass and a little camphor. Strong back bone of pebble minerality zest and bitter of lemon peal. Excellent for this supposed rich vintage.

  • First taste of Pinard's wines; very good Sancerre; the nose is lovely initially with lemon and lime zest, floral, and minerally; with air it shows more green apple, a hint of smoke, crushed stone. The palate is more texturally rich than many Sancerre wines, but it does not lack for energy. This was very good and quite reminiscent of a good Chablis 1er cru given the increased density and texture on the palate. Should be interesting to follow.
