Decanted at a NYC restaurant for over an hour before pouring. Very enjoyable, with sweet fruit, lots of oak and vanilla. A WA State Cab masquerading as a Napa Cab. A big full bodied wine with a long finish.

Cassis, tart blackberry, mahogany, ink, sage. Dark color with garnet rim, medium-full body, excellent lift and solid but silky tannins. I agree with others, this is just entering its decade-plus drinking window but probably won't improve much. An exemplary WA Cab blend, it's as good as the Quilceda Creek I've tasted.

21 Grams Vertical: 2005-2016. (Home, Portland OR): 21 Grams Vertical: 2005-2016. Great wine with flavors of cassis, dark chocolate, and oak, finishing with espresso coffee and vanilla. Probably just nearing its peak drinking window at age 10, this wine has at least another 10 years ahead of it.

This dazzling wine—86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot aged in 40% new French oak—offers notes of blackberry, black currant, olive and anise. It's rich and flavorful yet understated with a supple feel and bright acidity. Firm tannins provide the core and a long finish. Just a baby now, this wine should offer drinking pleasure through 2030 or longer.

Broad-shouldered hulking WA Cab. Maybe a bit oaky, but otherwise quite good. Nice complexity, rich fruit and long finish. Real crowd-pleaser.
