One poster below mentioned a comparison to Heitz Martha's Vineyard - coincidentally I've also tasted the 2004 of that wine recently and I must say there is some passing resemblance. Meaning, a traditional barolo, this is not, but it's also irresistibly seductive with deep fruit and floral aromatics that jump out of the glass. Tannins are pleasantly soft and the wine is just firing on all cylinders presently.

Perfumed intense nose with accentuated oak with tar over deep floral dried rose. Palate is multilayered and concentrated. Tannins are ripe and inviting. The wine you want to spend the time with. The epitome of the modernism. Round and mellow mouthfeel. Fruit is ripe leaving the impression of a solar vintage. Prominent acidity. One of the finest sites of La Morra. The vineyard sits above its famous neighbors and thus a higher level of acidity.
This is just an amazing wine. Like a well aged Heitz Martha's Vineyard wrapped in deeper, fuller tannins. Menthol, tabacco, licorice. Long long long. Really spectacular on a 5 hour decant. Highly recommended.

Decanted for around 6 hours. Ruby red, lighter rim. Beautiful nose with cherries, strawberries and dried flowers. Tobacco and forest floor. Beautiful Vosne like spice. Some oaknotes. High concentration. Still good tanningrip, although very refined. Great length.
