Australia Trade Tasting (London): 14.5% The wine shows a nice combination of the density and elegance in the nose, oak, spicy, very fresh, tannins need to mellow, looks promising just not for now.

Return to Aus; 6/23/2019-7/5/2019 (Adelaide, South Australia wine regions, Tassie, Yarra, etc.): From the bottle that was opened the day before. We'd recorked and left in a cool room. I don't know if it was the day being open (usually I assume these wines handle that just fine) or it was just generally in a dumb phase but this was quite closed down when I tried it. Not a lot going on and yet overall felt like a heavier mouthful. Too bad.

2 weeks in Australia with a stopover in Singapore; 6/14/2019-7/1/2019 (Singapore, Sydney, Adelaide, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills): This one was dark fruited but otherwise kind of tightly spooled, not much nose and not much happening on the palate. Perhaps just shut down - needing a decant or just not a great bottle.

Barossa be consumed (Carriageworks, Redfern): Oof, urea and fresh podded green pea, a little black fruit. Not a nice nose. Alcohol heat, cloyingly sweet, black fruit. Nah.
