Dark, inky red color. Blackberry and anise on the nose. Intense yet smooth on the palate. Blueberry, roast meat, a bit of cherry. Plum on the mid-palate. Firm tannins (could stand 2 years or so to soften), great acidity and balance. Finishes long with red fruit notes. Give it 2 years to develop and drink for 10. 14.5% ABV but it isn't apparent at this point.

Real Review - Top Wineries of Australia (Est. Restaurant, George Street, Sydney): Reductive rubbery tending to blackberry concentrate, sweet spice, polished oak lends vanilla, caramel. Quite thick on the palate, black fruits, plenty of alcohol, talc textured but woody tannins, all travel long helped by alcohol. Time required and this is quite big but not for me.

Real Review - Top Wineries of Australia (Campbell's store, Circular Quay West, The Rocks, Sydney): Ripe, concentrated black fruit compote backed by polished oak, liquorice on the nose but the oak is rather intrusive on the palate. Time might help?
