Free to a good home. Found by a friend at a flea market. Who knows where this has been? Coravin, initial waft of sourness. But it blew off and turned into a nice, if not a bit tired, wine. Tannins fully resolved. Fruit faded. But it got better in the glass and still provided more enjoyment in a glass of wine than most. It was free, but I’d pay to drink it again.

I bought this bottle from a small liquor store that had several gems like it. Their entire selection of wine has not been cared for properly. The cork crumbled like sand as I tried to remove it. Makes me wonder how it would have tasted with proper care??

Tasted at Clos Du Val today, sunny and 75 degrees, 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc. Nose of baker's chocolate, black cherry fruit, plum, and a touch of bell pepper, more of the same on the palate, smooth, supple, at its peak, easy to love this wine and the Three Graces on the Label, medium body, and a long finish. thank you Linden for the pour.

Over the hill but still fun to try. Still has somewhat pleasant mature flavors and good acidity.

A few years passed its prime, but still had incredible depth and balance, especially when paired with steak.
