Again, similar to the prior bottle, nicely mature with soft tannins and still nice amount of acidity and fruit, pretty soft however, red fruit is now a little dusty and beginning to get tired, needs drunk up.

Looks and smells at peak or starting to decline. Full soft cherry flavors with licorice and tar notes. Lengthy finish with nice acidity and soft tannin.

This tastes and smells pretty mature. The colour shows a little bricking - but the nose and palate show more. That said, this is in a nice place with smooth resolved tannins, still nice acidity and soft cherry and plum fruit. Nice hints of tar, dried herbs, licourice, fig. Decent long finish. First one of these, this was very good without getting to outstanding. Excellent value however.

Very Good++. This opened up seeming a bit overripe and also on its downslope. Maybe I'd waited too long. After some time it really settle in, and while far from a shrinking violet and showing a bit past peak, it was a fine example of Sangiovese and reminded me a bit of the currently more famous Tuscan hill. I may be underrating.
Great QPR sub-$15 USD.
14% abv. I'd guess at ~14.8%

I find that Vino Nobile is often overshadowed by its better-known cousin Brunello. This was a steal for under $15. Vibrant fruit, medium weight, bracing but balanced acidity and great herbals. Still drinking well at 8 years old but I have a sense this is it’s peak. Wish I had more……
