Floral notes and dark berry aromas mingle with baking spices framed by leathery tannins. Decanting rounded the flavors, pulled the acid into balance, and brought out more of the berries and spice. It went very well with pasta fresca al ragú and received compliments from around the table.

I like this very much. Medium-bodied, quite light in colour, cherries, toasted notes from the oak, dried fruit, herbs. Fresh mouthfeel, balanced, medium tannins, long aftertaste. I don't doubt the cellaring potential but I have a feeling that this is in a very good spot right now.

Tasted at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society, Hampshire, UK. Tasting of Italian wines, presented by Dan Farrell-Wright, Director of Wickhams wine merchant. 100% sangiovese. This rosy-red coloured wine had been aged in barrel for 24 months and had a complex nose of red berry mature fruit, pepper, plum jam and floral elements. In the mouth tannins were evident with a hint of sweetness; spicy with a good acidity and a long finish.

very traditional Tuscan style, a real Sangiovese one, light ruby colour, with intense and elegant cherry flavours, nice acidity, enjoyable tannins and a rather good length. very good QPR!

Dried cherry, roasted mushroom and dry leather, likes plenty of air and rich food and then the savory hint of age notes over deliver for the price.
