Decent Riesling, on the palate fresh fruity honey notes in the beginning but dull, broad, earthy, grape-seed notes towards the end. Not the most elegant Van Volxem Riesling at this time.

Medium straw. Floral but slightly restrained nose. Green apple, muscat, a hint of tropical fruits, pineapple. Burst of juice, lovely acidity, with lots of energy and a long finish. Not a showstopper, but sings in an understated way - a world-class alto rather than a diva soprano.

Still super young and slightly closed aromatically. Notes of ripe fruit, honey, some white flowers, black tea, also some crushed slate and saline minerality. It‘s pretty full-bodied, with medium+ acidity (that could probably be a touch higher), a nice dry mouthfeel and long finish. Still very primary, but a promising Gottesfuss. It‘s probably not on the level of the epic 2016 (or the very good 2015) but still excellent potential (93+)
