Rockss and Fruit

(Van Volxem Gottesfuss Alte Reben) Incredible showstopping nose of minerals, apples, spices but on the palate this is obviously painfully young with creamy citrus fruits, marmalade and a long finish. Young and closed but the red slate and iron soils come on strong in the finish. After a while in the glass comes a plummy character. Really profound wine.

Very profound and complex nose. Ripe citrus, some petrol, honey, slightly burnt sugar, earthiness, deep slatey minerality. Medium-plus body.Intense and full mouthfeel with almost dried citrus, fine creaminess, caramel, impressive mineral layers, some herbal notes and more than just well detectable residual sugar, Very much density in the midpalate, long developing finish, rounded, polished details. Ripe, slightly too tender acidity, enough for a balance, but with some extra tightness this wine could be much more focused. Anyway nobody can take away its depth and complexity. 91-92

Tief mineralischer Wein mit Noten von Zitrusfrüchten, Jasmin, Honig, Apfel; süßlich-volle Duftwolken an der Nase, trotz der niedrigen Alkoholgradation voller, mundfüllender Körper mit ordentlich Restsüße, langem Zuckerschwanz am Gaumen und herb-kräuteriger Balance; sehr lang, viel Zukunft
