Decanted for 6 hours. Red. Tobacco and bark. Medium weight. Discretely ripe dark red fruit, savory elements as the nose suggests, excellent acidity, a bit of citrus, and moderate rising, earthy tannins. Easygoing, pliant, and very accessible now with enough structure to last for 5+ years. Not the final word in complexity, but this has been a thoroughly consistent, enjoyable drink over the past few years.

Opens up dry with heavy tannins, boot leather nose. Takes about 2.5 hrs for aromatics to start and actually got excellent at around 4 hours. Needs a lot more time.

Two Coravin samples over two weeks, then drank the second half of the bottle at the three week mark. At each juncture, mouth-puckering tannins at first that softened a bit after a few minutes of glass swirling. This showed soaring aromatics of balsamic and licorice. The palate was vivid and focused, delivering ample dried cherry and hard candy infused with salivating acids. This is top-notch Barbaresco, and I can't wait to see my other bottles develop further in the years ahead.

PnP, stunning garnet color, developing complexity, lovely balance, rather approachable already. Thru 2035. A consistently good value. 14,0% abv. For it's full potential, it's highly recommended
