  Minerals and earthy nose of spiced cherries and black fruits. Some touch or perfumed notes as well. On the palate this is structured with full and round, fine grained tannins. Cherries core with dark roasted and tarry shell explodes in the mouth and finishes on a clean orange like acidity. Delicious!

  Shy nose with scents of rose, strawberries, menthol, and a touch of brown sugar. Still tart and a bit hard on the palate, this doesn't exude much charm despite flashes of goodness. Hold and hope for better.

  Nose: Very nice on the nose with a core of black fruit that has almost candied red fruit notes around it. Palate: Nice weight in the mouth with great acidity and significant tannin still. Black Cherry, Licorice and Prunes with a nice spice element. Finish: Chewy tannin and black cherry notes with a cranberry tart note as well. I would be interested to try another one in 5 years.

  Dinner with the Keegan's (Our house): A bit hard to rate fairly since this was the 4th and last bottle with dinner. Ranked 4th overall by all of us but still enjoyable. General impression was much lighter and balanced than the barolo's I've had which was a good thing.
